Welcome to PGIDS' little corner of internet. We aim to be the premier dental institution in the country focused on patient care, student growth and research contributions. As Principal, it is my top priority that our patients get safe, high quality and efficient dental care. Treating and preventing dental issues will always be central to everyone at our institute. For students, we prioritize them getting clinical exposure to patient care. An average student treats over 1000 patients during their time at PGIDS and I only see this number going up. This is essential for our students to be future dental care providers and leaders. Finally, as an academician at heart, pushing the frontier of research always excites me. I always cherish the moment when a student presents a finding at a conference or publishes a paper in a peer reviewed journal. Lately, Artificial Intelligence has been top of mind for most people, and with the tailwinds that latest Government policies have provided, my vision is to make PGIDS the most AI native dental institute in the nation with every student and staff member pushing the frontier of the intersection of AI and Dentistry.

Postgraduate Institute of Dental Sciences (Govt. Dental College and Hospital, Rohtak) is a premier dental institute in the country offering quality dental education to undergraduate as well as postgraduate students since 1981. The Institute comes under the aegis of Government of Haryana and Pt. B. D. Sharma University of Heath Sciences, Rohtak. It has well known throughout India for its impeccable patient care and quality dental education.
This Institute is running B.D.S. with 100 admissions per year
and M.D.S. in 9 specialties; Conservative Dentistry,
Prosthodontics, Pedodontics, Orthodontics, Oral &
Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Public health Dentistry,
Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine and Radiology with intake of 33
MDS students per year. Besides this, it is also running Dental
Hygienist, Dental Mechanic courses and P.G. Certificate course
in Oral Implantology and P. G. certificate course in
Endodontics. PGIDS, Rohtak also offers fellowship courses in
Micro-endodontics, Implantology, Maxillofacial Prosthetics,
Maxillofacial Traumas, Forensic Odontology and Maxillofacial
Prosthesis.
